Not only have virtual economies begun to exert real world monetary implications, but gamer culture  has begun to invade more traditional forms of artistic expression and the economy of cinema.  The emergence of machinima helps to facilitate this transition, but films will ultimately benefit from their synergistic audio-visual integration. Contemporary Western culture has come of gamer age.
